As an Applied AI Scientist, you will work in a creative and cross-functional team to collaboratively explore, design and productionize state-of-the-art AI solutions that solve high impact customer problems. In this role, you will be responsible for performing engineering and research tasks in order to identify and adopt the latest cutting-edge AI techniques to solve customer business problems.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build innovative AI solutions using multimodal techniques in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, Generative Modeling, Network Science, Geographic Information Systems, Data Science, AR/VR, and Robotics. We’re looking for scientists capable of exploring new challenges with artificial intelligence (AI) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles to innovate, design, and implement solutions for interesting real-world problems across a variety of industries in one or more of our service lines. You will also work closely with our business, customers, product, and engineering teams to deploy AI solutions, and build a rewarding career with a fun and innovative AI Startup. This role may lead to future management opportunities and provides training opportunities for self-development as well as mentoring of team members.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

 

  • Ph.D. or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Math, related fields with specialization in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, Reinforcement Learning, Robotics, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the industry and/or academia.

  • Proven track record of innovation in creating practical solutions for real-world problems in the fields related to AI and/or Data Science.

  • Expertise using open source technologies, machine learning/deep learning frameworks, GPUs, data processing tools, visualization, web development frameworks, software engineering, cloud, IoT, and edge computing to build models and deploy products.

  • Ability to communicate complex research ideas and solutions in both verbal and written form to internal and external stakeholders.
